Meet Andrea<\/em><\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>

Art has always been the thread running quietly through my life. My background is in Visual Art and Communications, and I still return to writing, sketching, and watercolor whenever I need to reconnect with myself. Creating, in any form, is less of a hobby and more of a way of grounding myself in who I am.<\/p>\n

The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Maybe that\u2019s why I\u2019ve always been fascinated by what exists beneath the surface.<\/p>\n

The ancient Greeks called part of this\u00a0<\/span>ethos<\/b>\u2014the character and values that quietly reveal who we are. I think about that often. Who we are isn\u2019t merely what we say about ourselves; it\u2019s how we move through the world, how we treat people, what we notice, and what we choose to care about.<\/p>\n

And then there is\u00a0<\/span>pathos<\/b>\u2014feeling.<\/p>\n

That might be the part I understand most instinctively. I love anything capable of stirring something inside us: art, music, words, intimacy, nostalgia, travel, or a conversation that unexpectedly becomes much deeper than either person intended. I\u2019m interested in the things that make us\u00a0<\/span>feel<\/i>.<\/p>\n

Perhaps some of that comes from being an unapologetic \u201980s kid<\/strong>\u2014raised on mixtapes, MTV, questionable fashion choices, and a generation that made individuality feel almost rebellious. I\u2019ve always had a little of both in me: the quiet art girl observing from the corner and the woman unafraid to step into the spotlight.<\/p>\n

I still love places that invite you to linger: museums, bookstores, quiet caf\u00e9s, and anywhere near the water. They slow me down enough to notice things\u2014the light falling across a painting, the feel of a well-loved book in my hands, the rhythm of waves somewhere in the distance.<\/p>\n

That sense of presence matters to me.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

I believe we should\u00a0<\/span>work to live, not live to work<\/b>. I love spontaneous weekend escapes, thoughtfully planned adventures, and the delicious feeling of waking up somewhere unfamiliar. Travel reminds me how enormous the world is\u2014and how small our routines can become if we never step outside them.<\/p>\n

At home, my little Pomeranian is my constant companion: equal parts shadow, tiny dictator, and best friend. He keeps life wonderfully uncomplicated\u2014morning cuddles, little walks, and the kind of unconditional affection humans could probably learn something from.<\/p>\n

I believe in taking care of myself, too. Pilates, restorative bodywork, quiet rituals, and a little indulgence keep me centered. I don\u2019t see self-care as vanity. I see it as generosity. When we tend to ourselves, we have more of ourselves to give.<\/p>\n

Perhaps that brings me back to\u00a0<\/span>ethos and pathos<\/b>\u00a0<\/span>after all:<\/p>\n

To live according to what matters to you.
\nTo remain open enough to be moved.
\nTo notice beauty.
\nTo feel things deeply.
\nAnd to leave enough room in your life to actually enjoy being alive.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
